Peace & Quiet

Last Sunday my wife and I spent the day at the Scandinavian Spa in Whistler. It was an amazing experience. And the best part for me was the "silence" piece (of course!)

I appreciated how they value and understand the power of silence. There were "silence" signs literally everywhere. And what is interesting is that the guests respected that.

I was telling my wife I wish we have these signs all around the city! :D Wouldn't that be awesome?

The following passage is from their website: The value of silence - “In the attitude of silence the soul finds the path in a clearer light, and what is elusive and deceptive resolves itself into crystal clearness." Silence is a source of great strength. We believe silence is essential to the experience of the Scandinavian baths. By embracing silence one finds inner stillness leading to complete relaxation.

Quiet Leadership

Quiet Leadership

Who said quiet leadership is an oxymoron?

Mahatma Gandhi is one of the many quiet leaders out there. Gandhi is revered as the father of the nation by the world’s largest democracy and has been an acknowledged inspiration for many other leaders who have fought successfully for the improvement of humankind.

What is your leadership style?

Quiet Leadership Workshop

It has long been believed that the natural leaders of our society were the extroverted types, those that were outspoken, bold and assertive.

But you don't have to be LOUD to be a great leader.

A full 40% of executives describe themselves as introverts, including Bill Gates, Marissa Mayer, Guy Kawasaki, Wendy Kopp and Mark Zuckerberg. Contrary to popular opinions, introverts, not just extroverts, have the skills to lead in a fast-paced extroverted business world.

Extroverted leaders have gotten a bit too much good press, to the point that excellent introverted leaders are increasingly overlooked. You can be an impactful leader by being soft-spoken, quiet and gentle.

Key topics covered in this workshop

  1. Expose quiet leaders myths
  2. Steps to build on your quiet strengths
